About Omnis Studio

Omnis Studio from TigerLogic is a high-performance visual RAD tool that provides a component-based environment for building e-commerce, database and client/server applications.

Its Web Client plug-in technology allows server-based applications to be accessed over the Internet using popular Web-browsers, giving fast, secure, scalable solutions in a minimum of development time.

With complete scalability from individual to enterprise level solutions, Omnis applications can be developed on any one supported platform and deployed on any other platform without modification.

Supported platforms include, Windows NT/2000, Windows XP, Mac OSX, Linux, and Sun Solaris. Omnis directly supports traditional SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2 and Informix, and most other databases via JDBC or ODBC.

Through the acquisition of VDA in 2008 Crimsonwing has gained an experienced team of Omnis developers. We can develop new systems, enhance your existing systems or support your systems. We also have extensive practical experience of migrating through the versions.

Omnis was the tool of choice for developing the ERP solution called POP, comprising over 30 modules. POP manages the administrative processes for television and radio, as well as related activities on the internet and live events. Additional access is given to users and external applications via Java, using XML and SOAP, which supports adding and retrieving information, viewing radio and television schedules, reporting use of material, searching material, and so on.

Crimsonwing have also developed a best-of-breed automated system for converting older Omnis 7 applications to the modern object-oriented environment of Omnis Studio.
